शमीवृक्षस्थायुधप्रकाशनम् / Revelation and Identification of the Weapons on the Śamī Tree
जब वह भयसे आतुर होकर अपनी सुध-बुध खोने लगा तब अर्जुनने उससे कहा --“शत्रुनाशन! यदि तुम्हें शत्रुओंके साथ युद्ध करनेका उत्साह नहीं है तो चलो; मैं उनसे युद्ध करूँगा। तुम मेरे घोड़ोंकी बागडोर सँभालो ।। प्रयाह्मेतद् रथानीकं मद्वाहुबलरक्षित: । अप्रधृष्यतमं घोर गुप्तं वीरैर्महारथै:,“तुम मेरे बाहुबलसे सुरक्षित हो इस रथ-सेनाकी ओर चलो, जो महारथी वीरोंसे सुरक्षित, घोर एवं अत्यन्त दुर्धर्ष है
vaiśampāyana uvāca | yadā sa bhayenāturo bhūtvā sva-sudhi-buddhiṃ jahau tadārjunaḥ tam uvāca— “śatru-nāśana! yadi te śatrubhiḥ saha yuddhe utsāho nāsti, tarhi āgaccha; aham eva taiḥ saha yotsye. tvaṃ mama aśvānāṃ bāgḍorāṃ dhāraya. prayāma etad rathānīkaṃ mad-bāhu-bala-rakṣitaḥ; apradhṛṣyatamaṃ ghoraṃ guptaṃ vīrair mahārathaiḥ.”
వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—అతడు భయంతో కుంగి మోహవశాత్తు చిత్తం కోల్పోతుండగా, అర్జునుడు అతనితో అన్నాడు—“శత్రునాశనా! శత్రువులతో యుద్ధం చేయాలనే ఉత్సాహం నీకు లేకపోతే రా; నేను యుద్ధం చేస్తాను. నీవు నా గుఱ్ఱాల బాగడోరును పట్టుకో. రా, నా భుజబల రక్షణలో ఉన్న ఆ రథసేన వైపు ముందుకు సాగుదాం—అది ఘోరమైనది, అత్యంత దుర్ధర్షమైనది, వీర మహారథులచే గుప్తంగా రక్షింపబడినది।”
