अन्येनाहं गमिष्यामि विराटस्य महानसम्,'भीरु! जो तुझ निरपराध अबलाको सतायेंगे, वे इसी तरह मारे जायँगे। कृष्णे! नगरको जाओ। अब तुम्हारे लिये कोई भय नहीं है। मैं दूसरे मार्गसे विराटकी पाकशालामें चला जाऊँगा'
anyenāhaṃ gamiṣyāmi virāṭasya mahānasam | bhīru yo tvāṃ niraparādhām abalāṃ satāyiṣyanti te ’pi tathā mariṣyanti | kṛṣṇe nagaraṃ gaccha | adhunā tava na kaścid bhayaḥ | ahaṃ dvitīyena mārgeṇa virāṭasya pākaśālāṃ gamiṣyāmi ||
వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—నేను మరో మార్గం పట్టి విరాటుని మహానసానికి వెళ్తాను. భీరువా! నీవు నిరపరాధి, అసహాయురాలైనప్పటికీ నిన్ను బాధించే వారు ఇదే విధంగా సంహరింపబడతారు. కృష్ణే! నీవు నగరానికి వెళ్లు; ఇక నీకు భయం లేదు.
