Adhyāya 14: Sudēṣṇā Sends Sairandhrī to Kīcaka’s House (सुदेष्णा–सैरन्ध्री–कीचक संवादः)

परदारे न ते बुद्धिर्जातु कार्या कथंचन । विवर्जनं हाकार्याणामेतत्‌ सुपुरुषव्रतम्‌,परायी स्त्रीमें तुम्हें कभी किसी तरह भी मन नहीं लगाना चाहिये। न करने योग्य अनुचित कर्मोंको सर्वथा त्याग दिया जाय, यही श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोंका व्रत है

paradāre na te buddhir jātu kāryā kathaṃcana | vivarjanaṃ hākāryāṇām etat supuruṣa-vratam ||

“పరస్త్రీ వైపు నీ మనస్సు ఎప్పుడూ, ఏ పరిస్థితిలోనూ, మొగ్గకూడదు. చేయరాని కార్యాలను పూర్తిగా వదలడం—ఇదే సత్పురుషుల వ్రతం.”
