युधिष्ठिर निबोधेदं त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतम् । भृगोस्तीर्थ महाराज महर्षिगणसेवितम्
yudhiṣṭhira nibodhedaṃ triṣu lokeṣu viśrutam | bhṛgos tīrtha mahārāja maharṣigaṇasevitam ||
యుధిష్ఠిరా, ఇది వినుము—ఇది మూడు లోకాలలో ప్రసిద్ధమైనది. మహారాజా, ఇది భృగు మహర్షి తీర్థము; మహర్షుల గణముచే సేవింపబడినది.
लोगश उवाच
The verse frames a forthcoming instruction by grounding it in sacred authority: a teaching connected with Bhṛgu’s tīrtha, famed across the three worlds and validated by the continual presence of great seers—implying that dharmic knowledge is preserved and authenticated through revered places and ṛṣi-lineages.
Lomaśa addresses Yudhiṣṭhira and introduces a celebrated pilgrimage site—Bhṛgu’s tīrtha—describing its universal renown and its being frequented by maharṣis, as a prelude to narrating its significance or the merits associated with it.
