लेभिरे पितरश्नलास्य लोकान्‌ राजन्‌ यथेप्सितान्‌ । तत ऊर्ध्वमयं ख्यातस्त्वगस्त्यस्याश्रमो भुवि,राजन्‌! तदनन्तर उनके पितरोंने मनोवांछित लोक प्राप्त कर लिये। उसके बादसे यह स्थान इस पृथ्वीपर अगस्त्याश्रमके नामसे विख्यात हो गया

lebhire pitaraś ca te lokān rājan yathepsitān | tata ūrdhvam ayaṃ khyātas tv agastyasyāśramo bhuvi rājan ||

రాజా! వారి పితరులు తాము కోరిన లోకాలను పొందారు. ఆ కాలం నుంచే ఈ స్థలం భూమిపై ‘అగస్త్యాశ్రమం’ అని ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది.
