एते च नातिधनिनो धनार्थश्च॒ महान् मम । यथाशव]त्यविहिंस्यान्यान् संविभागं प्रयच्छ न:,'ये नरेश अधिक धनवान् नहीं हैं और मुझे बहुत धनकी आवश्यकता आ पड़ी है। अतः दूसरे जीवोंको कष्ट न देते हुए अपने धनमेंसे यथाशक्ति कुछ भाग हमें दो”
ete ca nātidhānino dhanārthaś ca mahān mama | yathāśakty avihiṁsyānyān saṁvibhāgaṁ prayaccha naḥ ||
“ఇవారు అత్యధిక ధనవంతులు కాదు; నాకు ధనావసరం చాలా పెరిగింది. కాబట్టి ఇతర ప్రాణులకు హాని చేయకుండా, నీ శక్తి మేరకు నీ సంపదలోనుంచి మాకు ఒక భాగం ఇవ్వు.”
