मन्युना हि समाविष्टा: पाण्डवास्ते महौजस: । दृष्टवा कृष्णां सभां नीतां धर्मपत्नीं यशस्विनीम्‌,महातेजस्वी वे पाण्डव अपनी धर्मपत्नी यशस्विनी कृष्णाको सभामें लायी गयी देखकर क्रोधसे भरे हुए हैं और महाराज! दुःशासन तथा कर्णकी वे कठोर बातें सुनकर पाण्डव आपलोगोंकी निन्दा करते हैं, ऐसा मुझे विश्वास है

manyunā hi samāviṣṭāḥ pāṇḍavās te mahaujasaḥ | dṛṣṭvā kṛṣṇāṃ sabhāṃ nītāṃ dharmapatnīṃ yaśasvinīm ||

సంజయుడు పలికెను—మహాబలవంతులైన పాండవులు కోపంతో ఆవరించబడ్డారు. తమ యశస్విని ధర్మపత్నీ కృష్ణను రాజసభకు లాగి తీసుకువెళ్తున్నదాన్ని చూచి వారి ఆగ్రహం ఉప్పొంగింది; ఇది కేవలం వ్యక్తిగత అవమానం కాదు—ధర్మభంగం, సతీస్త్రీ గౌరవానికి చేసిన దాడి.
