युधिछिर उवाच देवदेवो मया दृष्टो भवान्‌ साक्षात्‌ सनातन: । य॑ं ददासि वर तुष्टस्तं ग्रहीष्याम्यहं पित:,युधिषछ्टिर बोले--पिताजी! आप सनातन देवाधिदेव हैं। आज मुझे साक्षात्‌ आपके दर्शन हो गये। आप प्रसन्न होकर मुझे जो भी वर देंगे, उसे मैं शिरोधार्य करूँगा

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca devadevo mayā dṛṣṭo bhavān sākṣāt sanātanaḥ | yaṁ dadāsi vara tuṣṭas taṁ grahīṣyāmy ahaṁ pitaḥ ||

యుధిష్ఠిరుడు అన్నాడు—తండ్రీ! మీరు సనాతన దేవాధిదేవులు. నేడు నేను మిమ్మల్ని ప్రత్యక్షంగా దర్శించాను. మీరు ప్రసన్నులై ఏ వరం ఇచ్చినా, దానిని నేను భక్తి-గౌరవాలతో స్వీకరిస్తాను.
