Ajñātavāsa-saṅkalpaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Resolve and Dhaumya’s Exempla on Concealment

sāvitrī uvāca—satāṃ sadā śāśvata-dharma-vṛttiḥ; santo na sīdanti na ca vyathanti | satāṃ sadbhiḥ samāgamaḥ sa-phalo 'sti; sadbhyo bhayaṃ nānuvartante santaḥ ||

Educational Q&A

Steadfastness in dharma is the defining mark of the virtuous: they do not collapse into despair, and the company of good people yields inevitable moral and spiritual benefit; fear does not dominate one who stands among the good.

In the Savitri–Yama dialogue, Savitri articulates a moral principle about the nature of the virtuous—highlighting dharma-centered conduct, resilience, and the transformative value of associating with the righteous.
