यम उवाच ददानि ते5हं तमनिन्दिते वरं यथा त्वयोक्तंभविता च तत् तथा । तवाध्वना ग्लानिमिवोपलक्षये निवर्त गच्छस्व न ते श्रमो भवेत्,यमराज बोले--अनिन्दिते! मैं तुझे वर देता हूँ। तूने जैसा कहा है, वह सब वैसा ही होगा। मैं देखता हूँ, तू राह चलनेके कारण बहुत थक गयी है। अब लौट जा, जिससे तुझे अधिक परिश्रम न हो
yama uvāca: dadāni te ’haṃ tamanindite varaṃ yathā tvayoktaṃ bhavitā ca tat tathā | tavādhvanā glānim ivopalakṣaye nivarta gacchasva na te śramo bhavet ||
యముడు పలికాడు—అనిందితే! నేను నీకు ఆ వరం ఇస్తున్నాను; నీవు చెప్పినట్లే అది జరుగుతుంది. ప్రయాణం వల్ల వచ్చిన అలసట నీలో కనిపిస్తోంది; తిరిగి వెళ్ళు—నీకు మరింత శ్రమ కలగకూడదు।
