Indrajit and Lakṣmaṇa: Escalation through Concealment
पलायनकृतोत्साह: प्राद्रवद् येन वै वनम् । सैन्धवं त्वभिसम्प्रेक्ष्य पराक्रान्तं पलायने
palāyanakṛtotsāhaḥ prādravad yena vai vanam | saindhavaṃ tv abhisamprekṣya parākrāntaṃ palāyane
వైశంపాయనుడు చెప్పెను—పలాయనమే తన ఉత్సాహమైపోయిన వాడు అడవివైపు పరుగెత్తాడు. సైంధవుడు (జయద్రథుడు) కూడా పారిపోవడంలోనే నిమగ్నుడై ఉన్నాడని చూసి, అది పిరికితనపు వెనుకడుగు అయ్యింది; దానికి ప్రతిగా వెంబడింపు మరింత ఉగ్రంగా మారింది.
