अङ्गददूतवाक्यं लङ्काप्राकारभेदनं च

Angada’s Embassy and the Breach of Laṅkā’s Ramparts

सीमन्तिनीनां मुख्यायां विनिवृत्त: कथं भवान्‌ । एतां दृष्ट्वा स्त्रियो मेडन्या यथा शाखामृगस्त्रिय:

sīmāntinīnāṃ mukhyāyāṃ vinivṛttaḥ kathaṃ bhavān | etāṃ dṛṣṭvā striyo meḍanyā yathā śākhāmṛga-striyaḥ ||

వైశంపాయనుడు అన్నాడు—“స్త్రీలలో అగ్రగణ్యురాలైన ఆమె వద్దనుంచి నీవు ఎలా తిరిగి వచ్చావు? ఆమెను చూచిన వెంటనే మేదదేశ స్త్రీలు ఉత్సాహంతో ఆమె వెంటే లాగబడతారు—చెట్లలో నివసించే మృగాల ఆడలు వలె।”
