अङ्गददूतवाक्यं लङ्काप्राकारभेदनं च

सा काड्क्षमाणा भर्तृणामुपयातमनिन्दिता । विलोभयामास पर वाक्यैर्वाक्यानि युड्जती,पतिव्रता द्रौपदी चाहती थी कि मेरे पति अभी यहाँ आ जायँ। अत: वह जयद्रथसे वाद- विवाद करती हुई उसे बातोंमें फँसाये रखनेकी चेष्टा करने लगी

sā kāṅkṣamāṇā bhartṝṇām upayātam aninditā | vilobhayāmāsa para-vākyair vākyāni yuñjatī ||

నిందలేని ద్రౌపది తన భర్తలు త్వరగా రావాలని కోరుతూ, మాటకు మాట కలిపి అతనిని సంభాషణలో ముంచెత్తి నిలిపివేయడానికి ప్రయత్నించింది.
