आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च

Indra approaches Skanda; vajra strike and the arising of Viśākha

व्याध उवाच यत्‌ तदा त्वं द्विजश्रेष्ठ तयोक्तो मां प्रति प्रभो । दृष्टमेव तया सम्यगेकपत्न्या न संशय:,धर्मव्याधने कहा-<द्धिजश्रेष्ठ! प्रभो! उस पतिव्रता देवीने पहले आपसे मेरे विषयमें जो कुछ कहा है, वह सब ठीक है। इसमें संदेह नहीं कि उसने पातिव्रत्यके प्रभावसे सब कुछ प्रत्यक्ष देखा है

vyādha uvāca | yat tadā tvaṃ dvijaśreṣṭha tayokto māṃ prati prabho | dṛṣṭam eva tayā samyag ekapatnyā na saṃśayaḥ ||

ధర్మవ్యాధుడు అన్నాడు—ద్విజశ్రేష్ఠా, ప్రభో! ఆ ఏకపత్నీవ్రత పతివ్రతా స్త్రీ మీకు నా విషయమై ముందుగా చెప్పినదంతా యథార్థమే. సందేహం లేదు—పాతివ్రత్య ప్రభావంతో ఆమె అన్నిటినీ సరిగ్గా ప్రత్యక్షంగా చూచింది।
