प्रत्रजन्तोडनुधावन्तीं कृपणां पुत्रगृद्धिनीम्‌ । रुदतीमपहायैनामगच्छाम वयं वनम्‌

Transliteration

pratrajantod anudhāvantīṁ kṛpaṇāṁ putragṛddhinīm | rudatīm apahāyainām agacchāma vayaṁ vanam ||

Translation

మేము అరణ్యానికి బయలుదేరినప్పుడు, పుత్రస్నేహంతో వ్యాకులమైన ఆ దుర్భాగ్యురాలు కాతరంగా ఏడుస్తూ మా వెనుక వెనుక పరుగెత్తి వచ్చింది; కానీ మేము ఆమెను అక్కడే వదిలి అరణ్యంలోకి వెళ్లిపోయాము।
