अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
दिष्ट्या पश्यामि राजेन्द्र धर्मात्मानं सहानुगम् । निस्तीर्ण दुष्करं राजंस्त्वां धर्मनिचयं प्रभो
diṣṭyā paśyāmi rājendra dharmātmānaṃ sahānugam | nistīrṇaṃ duṣkaraṃ rājan tvāṃ dharmanidhayaṃ prabho ||
శుభయోగముచేత, ఓ రాజేంద్రా, నేను నిన్ను ధర్మాత్ముడిగా, అనుచరులతో కూడి దర్శిస్తున్నాను. ఓ రాజా, ఓ ప్రభూ! దాటుటకు దుష్కరమైనదాన్ని నీవు దాటివచ్చావు; నీవు ధర్మనిధివి. సోదరులతో కలిసి ఆ కఠిన ప్రతిజ్ఞను నెరవేర్చిన తరువాత నిన్ను ఇప్పుడు చూడటం—ఇది నా మహాభాగ్యం.
