Sanatsujāta-Āhvāna (Summoning Sanatsujāta) — Vidura’s Invocation and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Doubt
ते मोहितास्तद्वशे वर्तमाना इतः प्रेतास्तत्र पुन: पतन्ति । ततस्तान् देवा अनुविप्लवन्ते अतो मृत्युर्मरणाख्यामुपैति
te mohitās tadvaśe vartamānā itaḥ pretās tatra punaḥ patanti | tatas tān devā anuviplavante ato mṛtyur maraṇākhyām upaiti manuṣya ||
సనత్సుజాతుడు ఇలా చెప్పాడు—మోహానికి లోబడి జీవించే వారు ఈ లోకాన్ని విడిచి వెళ్లి, మళ్లీ మళ్లీ ఇతర స్థితుల్లో పడిపోతారు. అక్కడ దైవశక్తులు వారిని కలవరపెట్టి ముందుకు నెట్టుతుంటాయి; అందువల్ల దేహధారణ పునఃపునః విరిగిపోవడమే ‘మరణం’గా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. క్రోధం, ప్రమాదం, లోభం వంటి వికారాల చేత మోహితుడైన మనిషి అహంకారబంధనంలో పడి జనన-মరణ చక్రాన్ని కొనసాగిస్తాడు.
