Recognition and Explanation
सोमेन सहितं पश्य सौभद्रमपराजितम् । अभिमन्युं महेष्वासं निशाकरसमद्युतिम्
somena sahitaṃ paśya saubhadram aparājitam | abhimanyuṃ maheṣvāsaṃ niśākarasamaddyutim ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—సోమునితో కలిసి కూర్చున్న సుభద్రాపుత్రుడు, అపరాజిత మహాధనుర్ధరుడు అభిమన్యువును చూడు; అతని కాంతి నిశాకరుని సమానము.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse honors Abhimanyu’s undiminished merit and heroic stature: even after death, righteous valor and steadfast duty are portrayed as leading to exalted recognition, symbolized by his moon-like radiance and proximity to Soma.
Vaiśaṃpāyana directs attention to Abhimanyu in the celestial realm, describing him as undefeated and a great archer, seated with Soma and shining with brilliance comparable to the Moon.
