राष्ट्रगुप्ति-संग्रहः
Protection of the Realm and Principles of Revenue & Local Administration

फलं कर्म च निर्लहेतु न कश्चित् सम्प्रवर्तते । यथा राजा च कर्ता च स्यातां कर्मणि भागिनौ
Transliteration
phalaṁ karma ca nirlhetu na kaścit sampravartate | yathā rājā ca kartā ca syātāṁ karmaṇi bhāginau ||
Translation
ఫలమో, కర్మమో—ఏదో ఒక ఉద్దేశం లేకుండా ఎవ్వరూ కార్యంలో ప్రవృత్తి చెందరు. అలాగే ఏ కార్యంలోనైనా ఆజ్ఞాపించే రాజు మరియు కార్యాన్ని చేసే కర్త—ఇద్దరూ ఆ కర్మలో భాగస్వాములే.
