अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः
Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
भविष्यन्ति महात्मानो राजान: प्रथिता भुवि । “ब्रह्मन! तुम सदा ही अविचल एवं अजेय बने रहोगे। फिर द्वापर और कलियुगकी संधिका समय आनेपर भरतवंभशमें कुरुवंशी क्षत्रिय होंगे। वे महामनस्वी राजा समस्त भूमण्डलमें विख्यात होंगे ।। तेषां त्वत्त: प्रसूतानां कुलभेदो भविष्यति
bhaviṣyanti mahātmāno rājānaḥ prathitā bhuvi | brahman! tvaṃ sadā hī avicala evaṃ ajeya bhaviṣyasi | punaḥ dvāpara-kali-yugayoḥ sandhikāle samāgate bharata-vaṃśe kuru-vaṃśī kṣatriyā bhaviṣyanti | te mahāmanasvino rājānaḥ samasta-bhūmaṇḍale vikhyātā bhaviṣyanti || teṣāṃ tvattaḥ prasūtānāṃ kulabhedo bhaviṣyati ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— భవిష్యత్తులో మహాత్ములైన రాజులు పుట్టి భూమిపై ప్రసిద్ధి పొందుదురు. ఓ బ్రాహ్మణా, నీవు సదా అచలుడవై నిత్యం అజేయుడవై ఉంటావు. ద్వాపర-కలియుగ సంధికాలం వచ్చినప్పుడు భారతవంశంలో కురువంశీయ క్షత్రియులు కలుగుదురు. ఆ మహామనస్క రాజులు సమస్త భూమండలంలో ఖ్యాతి పొందుదురు. అయితే నీ నుండి పుట్టిన వారిలో కులభేదం ఏర్పడును.
