Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
न चैवाकल्पयद् भागं दक्षो रुद्रस्य भारत । ततो दधीचिवचनाद् दक्षयज्ञमपाहरत्,भारत! उस यज्ञमें दक्षने रुद्रके लिये भाग नहीं दिया था; इसलिये दधीचिके कहनेसे रुद्रदेवने दक्षके यज्ञका विध्वंस कर डाला
na caivākalpayad bhāgaṃ dakṣo rudrasya bhārata | tato dadhīcivacanād dakṣayajñam apāharat ||
ఓ భారతా! ఆ యజ్ఞములో దక్షుడు రుద్రునికి భాగమును కల్పించలేదు; అందుచేత దధీచి వచనముచే ప్రేరితుడై రుద్రదేవుడు దక్షయజ్ఞమును అపహరించి విధ్వంసము చేసెను।
तामिन्द्र उवाच गच्छ नहुषस्त्वया वाच्योथ<पूर्वेण मामृषियुक्तेन यानेन त्वमधिरूढ
