नावर्तते व्रतं स्वप्ने शुक्रमोक्षे कथंचन । आज्यहोम: समिद्धे्ग्नौ प्रायक्षित्तं विधीयते,यदि किसी कारणसे स्वप्रमें वीर्य स्खलित हो जाय तो इससे ब्रह्मचारीके लिये दुबारा व्रत लेने--उपनयन-संस्कार करानेकी आवश्यकता नहीं है। इसके लिये प्रज्वलित अग्निमें घीका हवन करना प्रायश्चित्त बताया गया है

Transliteration

na āvartate vrataṁ svapne śukramokṣe kathaṁcana | ājyahomaḥ samiddhe 'gnau prāyaścittaṁ vidhīyate ||

Translation

స్వప్నంలో ఏ కారణంతోనైనా వీర్యస్ఖలనం జరిగితే, దానివల్ల బ్రహ్మచర్యవ్రతం ఏ విధంగానూ భంగం కాదని చెప్పబడింది; వ్రతాన్ని మళ్లీ స్వీకరించాల్సిన అవసరం గానీ, ఉపనయన సంస్కారాన్ని తిరిగి చేయించుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం గానీ లేదు. దీనికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తంగా—బాగా ప్రజ్వలించిన అగ్నిలో నెయ్యి హోమం చేయాలని విధించబడింది.
