अरोषणो हासौ देवो यस्य भागो<्यमुद्यत: । न शक्य: स त्वया द्रष्टमस्माभिर्वा बृहस्पते
aroṣaṇo hāsau devo yasya bhāgo 'yam udyataḥ | na śakyaḥ sa tvayā draṣṭum asmābhir vā bṛhaspate ||
భీష్ముడు అన్నాడు—“ఓ బృహస్పతీ! ఈ భాగం ఎవరికోసం నియమించబడిందో ఆ దేవుడు కోపరహితుడు; ఆయనను నీవు గానీ, మేము గానీ దర్శించలేము.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse underscores the limits of even exalted beings’ perception: certain divine realities are not accessible to ordinary sight. It also implies ethical restraint—true divinity is characterized by freedom from anger, and one should approach such matters with humility rather than presumption.
Bhīṣma addresses Bṛhaspati, stating that a particular share of an offering has been assigned to an angerless deity, yet that deity is not visible to either Bṛhaspati or the others present—highlighting an unseen divine recipient within a ritual or doctrinal discussion.
