उपर्युपरि लोकस्य सर्वो गन्तुं समीहते । यतते च यथाशक्ति न च तद्‌ वर्तते तथा,सब लोग लोकोंके ऊपर-से-ऊपर स्थानमें जाना चाहते हैं और यथाशक्ति इसके लिये चेष्टा भी करते हैं; किंतु वैसा करनेमें समर्थ नहीं होते

Transliteration

uparyupari lokasya sarvo gantuṃ samīhate | yatate ca yathāśakti na ca tad vartate tathā ||

Translation

ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ మరింత మరింత ఉన్నత లోకాలకు చేరాలని కోరుతారు. తమ శక్తి మేరకు ప్రయత్నిస్తారు గానీ, అచ్చంగా అలాగే జరగదు—కేవలం కోరికతో, శ్రమతోనే అది సిద్ధించదు.
