प्रस्थिता देवता दृष्टवा शैलराजसुता तदा । उवाच वचन साध्वी देवं पशुपतिं पतिम्‌,देवताओंको प्रस्थित हुआ देख सती साध्वी गिरिराजनन्दिनी उमाने अपने स्वामी पशुपति महादेवजीसे पूछा---

prasthitā devatā dṛṣṭvā śailarājasutā tadā | uvāca vacanaṃ sādhvī devaṃ paśupatiṃ patim ||

దేవతలు ప్రయాణమై వెళ్లుటను చూచి, ఆ సమయంలో పర్వతరాజ కుమార్తె సాధ్వి ఉమ తన భర్త పశుపతి దేవ మహాదేవునితో మాటలాడింది.
