नारद–असित (देवल) संवादः — भूतप्रभवाप्यय, इन्द्रिय-गुण-विवेक, क्षेत्रज्ञ-तत्त्व

कपिल उवाच नाहं वेदान्‌ विनिन्दामि न विवक्ष्यामि कहिचित्‌ | पृथगाश्रमिणां कर्माण्येकार्थानीति न: श्रुतम्‌,कपिलने कहा--मैं न तो वेदोंकी निन्‍्दा करता हूँ और न कभी उन्हें विपरीत बात बतानेवाला बताता हूँ। पृथक्‌ू-पृथक्‌ आश्रमवालोंके जो कर्म हैं, उन सबके उद्देश्य एक ही हैं--ऐसा हमने सुन रखा है

Transliteration

kapila uvāca nāhaṃ vedān vinindāmi na vivakṣyāmi kahicit | pṛthagāśramiṇāṃ karmāṇy ekārthānīti naḥ śrutam |

Translation

కపిలుడు పలికెను—నేను వేదాలను నిందించను; అవి విరుద్ధార్థాన్ని బోధిస్తాయని కూడా ఎప్పుడూ చెప్పను. వేర్వేరు ఆశ్రమాలలో ఆచరించే కర్మలు రూపంలో భిన్నమైనా, లక్ష్యం మాత్రం ఒక్కటేనని మేము విన్నాము.
