Tulādhāra’s Instruction to Jājali on Ahiṃsā and Abhaya-dāna

तत्‌ पुत्र चिन्ताकलिल तदुक्त- मनागतं वै तव सम्प्रतीह । भूतार्थतत्त्वं तदवाप्य सर्व भूतप्रभावाद्‌ भव शान्तबुद्धि:,वत्स युधिष्ठिर! अन्य वक्ताओंने जगतकी उत्पत्तिके विषयमें पहले जो कुछ कहा है, वह सब वेदविरुद्ध और विचार-दूषित है; अत: इस समय तुम नित्यसिद्ध परमात्माका यथार्थ तत्त्व सुनकर उन्हीं परमेश्वरके प्रभाव एवं प्रसादसे शान्तबुद्धि हो जाओ

tat putra cintākalila tad-uktaṃ anāgataṃ vai tava sampratīha | bhūtārtha-tattvaṃ tad avāpya sarva-bhūta-prabhāvād bhava śānta-buddhiḥ, vatsa yudhiṣṭhira ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—వత్సా! ఆ చింతాజాలమును, ఇతరులు చెప్పిన ఊహాత్మక వాదములను విడిచిపెట్టు. ఇప్పుడు నేను నీకు యథార్థమును చెప్పుదును. సమస్త భూతార్థ తత్త్వమును సమ్యగ్గా గ్రహించి, సమస్త ప్రాణులలో వ్యాపించిన ప్రభువు ప్రభావము మరియు ప్రసాదముచేత, ఓ యుధిష్ఠిరా, నీవు శాంతబుద్ధి పొందుము.
