संस्काराणामसंख्यानां कामात्मा तदवाप्नुयात्‌ । मनस्यन्तर्तितं सर्व स वेदोत्तमपूरुष:,कामनाओंमें जिसका मन आसक्त है, वह पुरुष स्वप्नमें असंख्य संस्कारोंके अनुसार अनेक दृश्योंको देखता है। वे समस्त संस्कार उसके मनमें ही छिपे रहते हैं, जिन्हें वह सर्वश्रेष्ठ अन्तर्यामी पुरुष परमात्मा जानता है

Transliteration

saṃskārāṇām asaṅkhyānāṃ kāmātmā tad avāpnuyāt | manasy antarhitaṃ sarvaṃ sa vedottama-pūruṣaḥ ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు పలికెను— కోరికలచే నడిపించబడే మనస్సు గల మనిషి, స్వప్నంలో అసంఖ్యాత సంస్కారాల ప్రకారం అనేక దృశ్యాలను అనుభవిస్తాడు. ఆ సంస్కారాలన్నీ అతని మనస్సులోనే దాగి ఉంటాయి; వాటన్నిటినీ వేదప్రతిపాదిత పరమ అంతర్యామి—ఉత్తమ పురుషుడు పరమాత్మ—తెలుసుకొనును.
