न द्वितीयस्य शिरसश्छेदनं विद्यते क्वचित् । न च पाणेस्तृतीयस्य यन्नास्ति न ततो भयम्
na dvitīyasya śirasaś chedanaṁ vidyate kvacit | na ca pāṇes tṛtīyasya yan nāsti na tato bhayam ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—రెండో తల గానీ, మూడో చేయి గానీ కోసివేయబడుతుందనే భయం ఎవరికీ ఉండదు; ఎందుకంటే అవి అసలే లేవు. నిజంగా లేనిదానివల్ల భయం పుట్టదు; భయం పుట్టేది వాస్తవ ఆధారం ఉన్నచోటే.
