नित्यं प्रमुदिता मूढा दिवि देवगणा इव । अवलेपेन महता परिभूत्या विचेतस:

Transliteration

nityaṁ pramuditā mūḍhā divi devagaṇā iva | avalepena mahatā paribhūtyā vicetasaḥ ||

Translation

బ్రాహ్మణుడు పలికెను— వారు ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఆనందంగా ఉంటారు, స్వర్గంలోని దేవగణాల్లా—కాని అది కేవలం పైపై రూపమే. గొప్ప అహంకారం, ఇతరులను తక్కువచేసే అలవాటు వల్ల వారి మనస్సు చంచలమై వివేకం కోల్పోతుంది.
