यथावदुक्त वचन हितार्थिना निशम्य विप्रेण सुवीरराष्ट्रप: तथाकरोदू्‌ वाक्यमदीनचेतन: श्रियं च दीप्तां बुभुजे सबान्धव:

Transliteration

yathāvad ukta-vacanaṁ hitārthinā niśamya vipreṇa su-vīra-rāṣṭrapaḥ | tathākarod vākyaṁ adīna-cetanaḥ śriyaṁ ca dīptāṁ bubhuje sa-bāndhavaḥ ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—హితార్థముగా బ్రాహ్మణుడు యథావిధిగా చెప్పిన సుభాషిత ఉపదేశాన్ని సమ్యకుగా విని, ఆ వీరదేశాధిపతి చెప్పినట్లే ఆచరించాడు. అచలమైన, నిరుత్సాహం లేని మనస్సుతో అతడు బంధువులతో కూడి ప్రకాశించే సంపదను అనుభవించాడు.
