कोशाख्यपटलं यस्य कोशवृद्धिकरैनरि: । आप्तैस्तुष्टैश्न सततं चीयते स नृपोत्तम:,विश्वासपात्र, संतोषी तथा खजाना बढ़ानेका सतत प्रयत्न करनेवाले, खजांचियोंके द्वारा जिसके कोषकी सदा वृद्धि हो रही हो, वही राजाओंमें श्रेष्ठ है
Transliteration
kośākhyapaṭalaṃ yasya kośavṛddhikarair naraḥ | āptais tuṣṭaiś ca satataṃ cīyate sa nṛpottamaḥ ||
Translation
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—సక్రమ పరిపాలనలో రక్షితమైన రాజకోశము, విశ్వాసపాత్రులైన సంతుష్ట అధికారులచే నిరంతరం వృద్ధి చెందుతుంటే—అటువంటి రాజే రాజులలో ఉత్తముడు।
