समुद्रोडयं तव वशे भविष्यति नदीपति: । सोमेन सार्थ च तव हानिवृद्धी भविष्यत:

Transliteration

samudroḍayaṁ tava vaśe bhaviṣyati nadīpatiḥ | somena sārtha ca tava hānivṛddhī bhaviṣyataḥ ||

Translation

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—నదీపతి అయిన సముద్రము తన అలలతో కూడ నీ వశములోనికి వచ్చును. అలాగే సోముడు (చంద్రుడు) తో కలిసి నీ హాని మరియు వృద్ధి—క్షయమూ సమృద్ధియూ—నీ అధీనములోనే ఉండును॥
