तमभ्ययान्महासेन: सुरशत्रुमुदारधी: । स कार्तिकेयस्य भयात् क्रौज्चं शरणमीयिवान्
tam abhyayān mahāsenaḥ suraśatrum udāradhīḥ | sa kārtikeyasya bhayāt krauñcaṃ śaraṇam īyivān |
అప్పుడు ఉదారబుద్ధిగల మహాసేనుడు దేవశత్రువుపై దాడికి ముందుకు సాగెను. కాని కార్తికేయుని భయంతో ఆ శత్రువు క్రౌంచ పర్వతాన్ని శరణు కోరెను.
