Kārttikeya-Abhiṣecana: Mātṛgaṇa-Nāma Saṃkīrtana and Skanda’s Commission

तस्मै ब्रह्मा ददौ प्रीतो बलिनो वातरंहस:,रुद्रर्वसुभिरादित्यैरश्विभ्यां च वृतः प्रभु: । महापराक्रमी इन्द्र और विष्णु, सूर्य और चन्द्रमा, धाता और विधाता, वायु और अग्नि, पूषा, भग, अर्यमा, अंश, विवस्वान्‌ू, मित्र और वरुणके साथ बुद्धिमान्‌ रुद्रदेव, एकादश रुद्रणण, आठ वसु, बारह आदित्य और दोनों अश्विनीकुमार--ये सब-के-सब प्रभावशाली कुमार कार्तिकेयको घेरकर खड़े हुए

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tasmai brahmā dadau prīto balino vātaraṁhasaḥ, rudrair vasubhir ādityair aśvibhyāṁ ca vṛtaḥ prabhuḥ |

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఆ బలవంతుడైన, వాయువులా వేగంగా సంచరించువాడైన (కుమారుని) పట్ల బ్రహ్మ సంతోషించి అతనికి (వరాన్ని) ప్రసాదించాడు. రుద్రులు, వసువులు, ఆదిత్యులు మరియు జంట అశ్వినీకుమారులతో పరివృతుడై ఆ ప్రభువు అక్కడ ప్రకాశించెను.
