साश्रुकण्ठो विनि:श्वस्य क्षत्तुर्वाक्यमनुस्मरन् । चिन्तयित्वा मुहूर्त स बाष्पपूर्णेक्षण: श्वसन्,भारत! अपने पुत्रको मारा गया देख वहाँ शकुनिका गला भर आया। वह लंबी साँस खींचकर विदुरजीकी बातोंको याद करने लगा। अपनी आँखोंमें आँसू भरकर उच्छवास लेता हुआ दो घड़ीतक चिन्तामें डूबा रहा
sāśrukaṇṭho viniḥśvasya kṣattur vākyam anusmaran | cintayitvā muhūrtaṃ sa bāṣpapūrṇekṣaṇaḥ śvasan, bhārata |
సంజయుడు పలికెను—భారతా! కన్నీళ్లతో అతని గొంతు బిగుసుకుంది; అతడు దీర్ఘ నిశ్వాసం విడిచి విదురుని మాటలను స్మరించాడు. ఆపై కొంతసేపు ఆలోచించి, కన్నీళ్లతో నిండిన కళ్లతో, భారంగా శ్వాసిస్తూ, చాలాసేపు చింతలో మునిగిపోయాడు.
