वैशम्पायन उवाच

V
Vaiśampāyana

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores karma-phala: a sinful action inevitably yields a proportionate consequence, here expressed as prolonged suffering and exile-like wandering.

In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a grave wrongdoing is being judged, and the doer is declared to receive its result—condemned to roam the earth for three thousand years as punishment.
