अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
प्रकर्षणाकर्षणा भ्यामनुकर्षविकर्षणै: । आचर्कर्षतुरन्योन्यं जानुभिश्वावजघ्नतु:,वे एक-दूसरेको पीछे ढकेलते और आगे खींचते थे। बार-बार खींचतान और छीना- झपटी करते थे। दोनोंने अपने प्रहारोंसे एक-दूसरेके शरीरमें खरौंच एवं घाव पैदा कर दिये और दोनों दोनोंको पटककर घुटनोंसे मारने तथा रगड़ने लगे
prakarṣaṇākarṣaṇābhyām anukarṣavikarṣaṇaiḥ | ācarakarṣatur anyonyaṃ jānubhiś cāvajaghnatuḥ ||
వారు ఒకరినొకరు బలంగా తోసి, లాగి—మళ్లీ మళ్లీ లాగుడూ పీడుడూ చేస్తూ—సన్నిహిత యుద్ధంలో పట్టుబడ్డారు. పరస్పర ప్రహారాలతో శరీరాలపై గీతలు, గాయాలు పడ్డాయి; ఆపై ఒకరినొకరు నేలకూల్చి మోకాళ్లతో కొట్టి, నలిపి రుద్దుతూ పోయారు—పోటీ వేడిలో నియంత్రణ మరచి.
