Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)
अनयस्यानुपायस्य संयुगे परम: क्षय: । संशयो जायते साम्याज्जयश्व न भवेद् द्वयो:,जिसने अच्छी नीति नहीं अपनायी है और उत्तम उपायसे काम नहीं लिया है, उसका युद्धमें सर्वया विनाश होता है। यदि दोनों पक्षोंमें समानता हो तो संशय ही रहता है तथा दोनोंमेंसे किसीकी भी जय अथवा पराजय नहीं होती
anasyānupāyasya saṁyuge paramaḥ kṣayaḥ | saṁśayo jāyate sāmyāj jayaś ca na bhaved dvayoḥ ||
నీతిని ఆశ్రయించని వాడు, తగిన ఉపాయం లేక యుద్ధంలో ప్రవేశించినవాడు పరమ నాశాన్ని పొందుతాడు. రెండు పక్షాలు సమానమైతే సందేహమే పుడుతుంది; ఎవరికీ స్పష్టమైన జయం కలగదు.
