एको निवातकवचानहनद् दिव्यकार्मुक: । एक: किरातरूपेण स्थितं शर्वमयोधयत्,उन्होंने दिव्य धनुष धारण करके अकेले ही निवातकवचोंका संहार कर डाला और किरातरूप धारण करके खड़े हुए महादेवजीके साथ भी अकेले ही युद्ध किया
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca |
eko nivātakavacān ahanad divya-kārmukaḥ |
ekaḥ kirāta-rūpeṇa sthitaṃ śarvam ayodhayat ||
ధృతరాష్ట్రుడు అన్నాడు—దివ్య ధనుస్సు ధరించి అతడు ఒక్కడే నివాతకవచులను సంహరించాడు; అలాగే కిరాతరూపం ధరించి ఎదురుగా నిలిచిన శర్వుడు (శివుడు)తో కూడ ఒక్కడే యుద్ధం చేశాడు.
