अभ्यर्दितस्तु तैर्जिष्णु: शक्रतुल्यपराक्रम:,इति श्रीमहाभारते कर्णपर्वणि संशप्तकजये सप्तविंशोध्याय:

ఆ యోధులచే తీవ్రంగా ఒత్తిడికి గురైన జిష్ణువు—శక్రసమాన పరాక్రముడైనవాడు—అచంచలంగా నిలిచి యుద్ధం కొనసాగించెను. ఇట్లు మహాభారత కర్ణపర్వంలోని ‘సంశప్తకజయ’ విభాగంలో ఇరవైఏడవ అధ్యాయం సమాప్తం.
