क्रुद्धाशीविषसंकाशान्‌ सुकुमारान्‌ सुखोचितान्‌ । एकेन निहतान्‌ दृष्टवा भीतो दुर्योधनो5भवत्‌

sañjaya uvāca |

kruddhāśīviṣa-saṅkāśān sukumārān sukho-citān |

ekena nihatān dṛṣṭvā bhīto duryodhano 'bhavat ||

సంజయుడు పలికెను—క్రోధించిన విషసర్పాల వలె భయంకరమైనా, సుకుమారులై సుఖానికి అలవాటైన ఆ యువరాజులు ఒక్క యోధుడిచేత హతులైనట్లు చూసి దుర్యోధనుడు భయగ్రస్తుడయ్యాడు.
