द्रोणं प्रति महाराज विराटश्नैव संयुगे । महाराज! इसके बाद राजा ट्रुपद और विराटने द्रोणाचार्यपर समरांगणमें क्रोधपूर्वक बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी

droṇaṃ prati mahārāja virāṭaś caiva saṃyuge |
మహారాజా! ఆ తరువాత యుద్ధరంగంలో విరాటుడూ ద్రోణుని వైపు తిరిగాడు; తదుపరి కోపంతో ఉప్పొంగిన ద్రుపదుడు మరియు విరాటుడు—ఇద్దరు రాజులూ—సమరభూమిలో ద్రోణాచార్యునిపై బాణవర్షం కురిపించడం ప్రారంభించారు।
