అప్పుడు కర్ణుడు విషసర్పసమానమైన భయంకరమైన అనేక బాణాలతో అతనిని గాయపరచి చీల్చివేశాడు. ఆపై అతడు కాలినడకనే యుధిష్ఠిరుని సేనావ్యూహంలోకి ప్రవేశించాడు।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfastness under suffering: even when grievously wounded by deadly weapons, a warrior’s resolve and the momentum of battle continue. It also reflects the ethical tension of Kurukṣetra—dharma is pursued amid unavoidable violence.
Sañjaya reports that a warrior, badly wounded by many serpent-like (deadly) arrows shot by an opponent, nevertheless advances on foot and enters into Yudhiṣṭhira’s battle formation.
