द्रौणिप्रतिज्ञा–नारायणास्त्रवर्णनम्
Drauṇi’s Vow and the Description of the Nārāyaṇāstra
तदनन्तर कर्णपुत्र वृषसेनके भयसे त्रस्त हो सोमकवंशी क्षत्रिय उसी प्रकार भागने लगे, जैसे तारकामय संग्राममें इन्द्रके भयसे डरे हुए दानव भागे थे ।।
tad-anantaraṁ karṇa-putra-vṛṣasenake bhayena trastaḥ somaka-vaṁśīyaḥ kṣatriyāḥ tathā palāyituṁ pracakramuḥ, yathā tārakāmaye saṅgrāme indrasya bhayāt trastā dānavāḥ palāyante sma. tena pīḍyamānāḥ samare dravamāṇāś ca somakāḥ; vyarājanta mahārāja pradīpair avabhāsitāḥ.
సంజయుడు పలికెను—ఆ తరువాత కర్ణుని కుమారుడు వృషసేనుని భయంతో త్రస్తులైన సోమక వంశ క్షత్రియులు పారిపోవడం ప్రారంభించిరి; తారకామయ సంగ్రామంలో ఇంద్రభయంతో దైత్యులు పారినట్లుగా। మహారాజా! సమరంలో వృషసేనుని చేత వేధింపబడి అల్లకల్లోలంగా పరుగెత్తిన సోమక యోధులు దివిటీల కాంతితో ప్రకాశించి విశేషంగా కనిపించిరి।
