द्रोणनिन्दाश्रवणं तथा सात्यकि–पार्षतविवादः

स बभौ राक्षसो राजन् भिन्नाउज्जनचयोपम: । उसकी ध्वजापर विचित्र पंख और फैले हुए नेत्रोंवाला भयंकर गृध्रराज अपनी बोली बोलता था। उससे उपलक्षित उस ऊँचे डंडेवाले कान्तिमान् ध्वजसे कटे-छटे कोयलेके पहाड़के समान वह राक्षस बड़ी शोभा पा रहा था
sa babhau rākṣaso rājan bhinnaujjanacayopamaḥ |
సంజయుడు పలికెను—రాజా! ఆ రాక్షసుడు భిన్నాంజనరాశి వలె, చిత్తడైన నల్ల కొండలా ప్రకాశించెను. అతని ధ్వజంపై విచిత్ర పక్షాలు, విస్తరించిన నేత్రాలు గల భయంకర గృధ్రరాజు తన అశుభ వాణిని పలుకుచుండెను. ఆ ఎత్తైన దండముగల కాంతిమంత ధ్వజచిహ్నంతో గుర్తింపబడి, ఆ రాక్షసుడు మరింత భయానక వైభవంతో శోభించెను.
