रात्रौ युद्धप्रवृत्तिः — Night Battle Begins; Duryodhana’s Protective Orders for Droṇa

ते कर्णचापप्रभवा: शरा बर्हिणवासस: । विविशु: सर्वतः पार्थ वासायेवाण्डजा द्रुमम्
te karṇacāpaprabhavāḥ śarā barhiṇavāsasaḥ | viviśuḥ sarvataḥ pārtha vāsāyevāṇḍajā drumam ||
పార్థా! కర్ణుని ధనుస్సు నుండి పుట్టిన, నెమలి ఈకల వంటి పిచ్చికలతో కూడిన ఆ బాణాలు అన్ని వైపుల నుంచీ వచ్చి నిన్ను చీల్చి ప్రవేశించాయి—చెట్టు మీద గూటిలోకి పక్షిపిల్లలు చేరినట్లుగా.
