हतो विकर्णों राजेन्द्र चित्रसेनश्व वीर्यवान् | प्रवराश्षात्मजानां ते सुताश्चान्ये महारथा:
hato vikarṇo rājendra citrasenaś ca vīryavān | pravarāś cātmajānāṁ te sutāś cānye mahārathāḥ ||
ఓ రాజేంద్రా, వికర్ణుడు హతుడయ్యాడు; పరాక్రమవంతుడైన చిత్రసేనుడూ అలాగే. మీ కుమారుల్లో అగ్రగణ్యులు, ఇంకా ఇతర మహారథులైన కుమారులూ పడిపోయారు.
