रुधिरोक्षितसर्वाड्रो भीमसेनो व्यराजत । समृद्धकुसुमापीडो वसन्ते5शोकवृक्षवत्,भीमसेनका सारा शरीर खूनसे लथपथ हो रहा था। वे वसन्त-ऋतुमें खिले हुए अधिकाधिक पुष्पोंसे सम्पन्न अशोक वृक्षके समान सुशोभित हो रहे थे
rudhirokṣitasarvāṅgo bhīmaseno vyarājata | samṛddhakusumāpiḍo vasante'śokavṛkṣavat ||
రక్తంతో తడిసిన సర్వాంగుడైన భీమసేనుడు ప్రకాశించాడు. వసంతంలో సమృద్ధిగా పుష్పాలతో నిండిన అశోకవృక్షంలా అతడు శోభించాడు.
