शतशकश्षापरान् योधान् सद्दिपांश्व रथान् रणे
śataśaḥ śāparān yodhān saddīpāṃś ca rathān raṇe
సంజయుడు పలికెను— ఆ యుద్ధంలో వందల సంఖ్యలో వీరయోధులు ఉన్నారు; దీపాలు వెలిగిన రథాలు కూడా—ఘర్షణ మధ్య అనేక యుద్ధరథాలు జ్వలించుచు కదిలెను।
